On July 8th and 9th Two Rivers Gallery hosts a massive event in its space and also at the civic center plaza involving artists in residence, community partners, and local artists to provide moments of sharing, learning, and enjoyment.
The gallery also hosts a wide variety of art projects to be done during Community Arts Days which are all volunteer led. Volunteers are needed and will be trained by staff before the event opens at 10:00am for both days. There are two shifts with a break and a free lunch available to volunteers who stay the whole day.
Every week from July 11th to September 2nd there are up to 20 youth from ages 6-14 engaged in art activities, walks to the park, and play time.
Volunteering for our summer camps offers meaningful interactions with youth and builds a strong sense of community. Volunteer experience is an asset to many of our temporary, part time, and full time positions. 3 of our staff began involvement with the gallery as volunteers as well as 2 of our 4 summer students. Two Rivers Gallery is grateful for all the community support that make our programs possible.
