Family and Friends Caregiver Support Program

The Friends & Family Caregiver Support Program of the Prince George Council of Seniors is focused on unpaid friends or family caregivers who provide care and support to someone living with disease, disability or frailty due to ageing. These caregivers are the unsung heroes of the community. With support, they can relieve the health care system. Without help, they can be ill or burnt out. It makes great sense to support caregivers and their struggles touch our hearts.

We are looking for VOLUNTEERS who can make a difference in the lives of our caregivers and their care recipients for an informal and non-medical respite. They will keep company to the care recipient while the caregiver is away for support. They will be involved in indoor activities such as watching a movie, playing board games or cards, or just creating a good conversation with the care recipient.

If you believe you can help and be an important contributor to the program, please reach out to:

Clarence Bo, Caregiver Support Program Coordinator of the Prince George Council of Seniors, at (250) 564-5888 or for more information or to sign up.
