Relay For Life has united a collective of Canadians of all ages. They gather at a community space and take turns walking around a track or path to symbolize the perseverance and action needed to improve lives and change the future of cancer forever.

PROFILE REQUIRED
You are the ideal candidate for this role if you have:
• a positive attitude and a strong sense of self-motivation.

RESPONSABILITES
As a volunteer committee member, you will be responsible for:
• Create an engagement strategy for Relay’s food & beverage needs using the sponsorship package provided by CCS.
• Renew support from businesses that have participated in the food & beverage offering in the past.
• Develop new food & beverage partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
• Plan food & beverage needs for participants and volunteers.
• Prepare and complete contracts as required.
• Ensure that sponsorship agreements are respected (i.e. that sponsor signage is properly installed and that scheduled speeches (and photos) are taken).
• Prepare space for partners onsite, or arrange for food & beverage to be collected.
COMMITMENT
This is a 10-month commitment (September to June) for which:
• Attend local committee meetings (20 meetings).
• Independent role work/responsibilities (approx. 8+ hours per month).
• Must be available over the event weekend (Friday night to Sunday).
Must be 18+ to apply and complete the Canadian Cancer Society code of conduct.
