At the Prince George Council of Seniors, our vision is to create a community where seniors are empowered to live informed, safe, healthy, and connected lives.
Volunteering with Meals on Wheels is a fantastic way to stay active, apply your skills, meet new people, and give back to your community, all while making a meaningful impact in the lives of older adults. We’re looking for friendly, outgoing, and patient individuals who enjoy spending time with seniors.
Meals on Wheels volunteers provide more than nourishment—they deliver care, connection, and support to vulnerable seniors, helping them stay healthy and independent in their homes. We need reliable, punctual volunteers with a good driving record and their own vehicle to deliver meals and a friendly greeting to homebound seniors in Prince George.
Here’s how it works: You’ll pick up meals and follow a pre-determined route, delivering directly to several seniors’ homes. Once deliveries are completed, you return the delivery hamper—quick and simple! We offer flexible schedules that can accommodate your availability, whether it’s once a week, once a month, or on an as-needed basis. Meals are delivered Monday to Friday, from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
