The Learning Differences Centre of BC’s mission is to provide comprehensive services, in an emotionally supportive environment, to children and adults affected by learning difficulties.
They provide one-to-one therapeutic tutoring based on a multisensory approach. Their qualified Therapeutic Tutors work one-to-one with a client using the Orton-Gillingham (O-G) approach. This approach was designed specifically for the remediation of learning difficulties. The O-G approach to teaching language uses a sequential system that builds on itself, specific to the needs of each individual client.
This is a paid position and if you are interested in working as a Tutor please contact Lynne Robinson at manager@theldc.com or 250-564-8011. You can also ask Lynne about volunteer positions at the Centre.
